Vettukad Perunal 2011
Vettukad Perunal is from 11/11/11 this year. Fr. Gladin Alex will hoist the flag today marking the beginning of Vettukad Perunal 2011. Vettukad Madre De Deus church is a famous Christian pilgrim center in Trivandrum. Thousands of pilgrims visit Vettukad every year during the Perunal season. Feast of the Christ the King is celebrated in Vettukad every year in November. The last day of the feast will be the third Sunday in November. This year it is on 20/11/2011. Thousands of devotees flock to Vettukad for the blessings of Christ the King – Kristhurajan.
Local administration in Trivandrum has made all preparations for the smooth functioning of Vettukad Peunal this year. KSRTC will conduct special transport facilities from the city and various places outside the city. Arch Bishop Dr. M Susaipakyam and Kollam Bishop Dr. Stanley Roman will grace the occasion in Vettukad Perunal 2011.
