Munnar is an attractive tourist hill station located in Idukki district, Kerala. It is situated at an altitude of around 6000 ft above sea level. Another attraction of Munnar is Nilagiri Thahr – (Mountain Goats) which can be seen at Eravikulam National park at a stones throw from Munnar town.
Places to visit in and around Munnar are Mattuppetti dam, Kundala dam, Echo point, Eravikulam National park and Top station. Best time to visit Munnar is from August to May. Munnar is well connected by road. Varieties of Tea, including green tea and Strawberry preserve are available in Munnar at an economical rate.
